Afyamesh is the holistic digital platform Taadom Digital is building for neighbourhood healthcare across Africa. Where most digital health tools target a single facility or a single workflow, Afyamesh treats the neighbourhood as the unit – pharmacy, clinic, laboratory, imaging, and patient on one connected mesh.
What we are building
Six modules sharing a common patient identity layer:
- Pharmacy – inventory, dispensing, and patient record (launches first)
- Patient app – appointments, refills, results, history (launches first)
- Clinic – consultation notes, prescriptions, referrals
- Diagnostics – laboratory and imaging request/result flow
- Telehealth – video consult and asynchronous messaging
- Billing & admin – facility-level finance, claims, reporting
The mesh is offline-first by design, built on HL7 FHIR, with automated DHIS2 push for ministry reporting.
Why us, why now
The conditions that made earlier health-platform attempts fail in African contexts – assumed connectivity, copy-paste of tooling from other markets, single-facility scope – are exactly the design assumptions Afyamesh inverts. Every architectural decision starts from the neighbourhood reality first.
Status
In active build. Pharmacy and Patient modules ship at launch; remaining modules follow on a published roadmap. The PhoneForge web prototype served as our proof of engineering capability before the Afyamesh build began; PhoneForge’s mobile app is itself now in development on a separate track.
