This privacy notice describes how Taadom Digital Company Limited ("Taadom Digital", "we", "us") handles personal information you provide through taadom.com or related communications. It is written in plain language on purpose.
Who we are
Taadom Digital Company Limited (trading as Taadom Digital Co. Ltd), a private limited company incorporated under OHADA Uniform Act and registered in Cameroon under registration number RC. B'DA.2019B.049, with its registered office at Mile 4 Nkwen, Opposite Express Union, Bamenda, P.O. Box 192, Cameroon. Contact us via the contact page.
What we collect
Contact form. When you message us through the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, organisation (optional), inquiry subject, and the message you send.
Newsletter subscription. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and (optionally) your name. We also record the date you subscribed, the page you subscribed from, and a confirmation timestamp once you complete the double opt-in step. Subscription is opt-in only – you have to tick a box and click a link in a confirmation email; we never add anyone to the list because they messaged us through the contact form or did business with us.
Analytics. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics service self-hosted on our own infrastructure. Plausible does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses in identifiable form, and does not track users across websites. The aggregate information it records includes pageviews, referring sites, and browser/device classes – no individual visitor is identifiable.
We do not collect any other personal data through this site automatically.
Why we collect it
We collect contact form submissions to respond to your inquiry.
We collect newsletter subscriptions to send you the updates you asked for – and only those. We do not use subscriber lists for advertising, and we do not run automated behavioural campaigns. Each email contains the same content sent to every subscriber.
We collect aggregate analytics to understand which pages are useful and to improve the site over time.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are retained in our email system for up to 3 years from the date of receipt, after which they are deleted unless an active engagement requires longer retention.
Newsletter subscriber records are kept for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your subscription record is deleted from the active list immediately; we retain only a hashed (one-way, non-recoverable) record of your email for 12 months so that we can honour your unsubscribe request if a future sign-up form re-encounters the same address. After 12 months even that hash is deleted.
Analytics data is retained in aggregate form indefinitely; no individual visitor records exist to retain or delete.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not share contact form submissions or subscriber lists with third parties except where strictly required to respond to you (for example, if you have asked to be introduced to a partner organisation, with your explicit consent).
Newsletter delivery runs on our own infrastructure (self-hosted on Hetzner). Your email address is not shared with any third-party email-marketing service or audience platform – there is no Mailchimp, no Substack, no audience analytics embedded in the messages you receive from us.
Email for direct correspondence is hosted on Microsoft 365. Analytics is self-hosted by us. The website is hosted on Hetzner with Cloudflare in front.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to request that we correct or delete it, and to withdraw consent for future processing. To exercise any of these rights, use our contact form and include enough information for us to verify your identity.
For newsletter subscriptions specifically, every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom – no login or account required. You can also unsubscribe by writing to us through the contact form.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for tracking. We do not deploy third-party advertising or social tracking pixels.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
