After several years building digital-health tools inside other organisations, the company has its own front door. A short note on what we do, and what to expect from this blog.
Welcome to Taadom Digital.
For the past several years I have built digital-health tools, data systems, and policy artefacts inside other organisations – ministries of health, multilateral programmes, research institutions, and clinical-implementation partners. The work was good. The constraint was simple: each tool lived inside the organisation that commissioned it, and the lessons rarely travelled.
This site is the front door for a different arrangement. Taadom Digital is a Cameroon-registered company building software, data infrastructure, and implementation support for African health systems – as products, as services, and as open knowledge.
What you’ll find here
The site is organised around three things we do.
Products. Two are publicly named today. Afyamesh is a modular clinical-and-community-health platform, currently in development. PhoneForge is a borderless contact-cleaning tool – a mobile app under active development (Android first, iOS to follow), with a web prototype on phoneforge.app running in beta as the engineering reference. Both have their own pages on this site.
Services. Consulting, custom development, deployment support, and independent evaluations. The four service pages explain what we will and will not take on, and on what commercial terms.
Knowledge. This blog, plus the data hub at datalab.taadom.com. The blog
will run in five categories – Stories, Tutorials, Insight, Evidence, and
Announcements – and posts will be written by the founder and, in time,
occasional guest contributors.
What this blog is not
It is not a marketing channel. We will not be writing thinkpieces about “AI in African health” without specific evidence behind them. When we make a claim about what works, we will cite where the claim comes from, and where we are inferring rather than measuring, we will say so.
If you want to be notified when new articles publish, the RSS feed is the most reliable route. A mailing list will follow once we have something steady to send.
